So last month I finally managed to put some words down on paper. Only 2,500 of them admittedly but, given that previous months have been 2,500 words less, I’m taking that as a decent win. At least I’m not sitting under my desk in the foetal position wondering when my better half is going to call for those nice, strong men in white coats to escort me to a more comfortable (and rubber-lined) room.
The better news is that, without too much fuss or fanfare, the second volume of Descent has now been published. Yes, after a long period of gestation (even for elephants), Death is now out and available for purchase.

Of course I’m proud of it (any author is proud of their work, at least for a while – or if they’re not named Kafka) and of the cover which, by all accounts, has given my publisher another few ulcers. In the ultimate they reverted to Bekka, the designer of Sha’Kert’s cover, and she has again come up trumps.
That’s it for me now, hopefully a few more words will flow into what’s starting to look more and more like Book 4.
Oh, and yes, Book 3? The editing mountain is giving me nightmares.
