G’day, I’m Ishmael A Soledad from Brisbane in Australia. I’ve been writing science fiction since the late 1990’s, the vast majority of it short and flash fiction.
In 2018 I self-published my first short and flash science fiction collection, Hawking Radiation, which was followed up in 2019 by my second, Sex and the Single Cosmonaut.
In 2020 I connected with Temple Dark Books, Ireland’s premier speculative fiction house, and in 2021 my debut novel, Sha’Kert: End of Night, was published through them. Building on what is a strong, professional relationship, in 2023 I signed with Temple Dark Books to produce a new science fiction hexalogy, Descent. To date, books one and two of the series have been published as follows:
- Diathesis: Descent Book 1 (released April 2025)
- Death: Descent Book 2 (released September 2026)
Volume three in the series, Diaspora, is due for release in early 2028.
