January was a good month for me, steady writing pace, no major issues, and another 17,600 words down on Deceit.

So, who’s in the graphic this month?
This is Alejo, a character you’ll meet in Death, one you’ll get more accustomed to in Diaspora, and one who has an influence on our main characters in Deceit that even he couldn’t imagine. He’s a nice kid to start with, and I mean kid, just wandering through his teens when we catch up with him, and aren’t out teenage years turbulent and confusing? Aren’t they just the time we need good, positive mentors and role models to help us find our way? Aren’t they the years we really get serious about love, lust, and commitment?
Of course they are. As they are for him.
But it’s such a shame he never quite meets the right people, never manages to control that hot, impetuous streak that always seems to live inside an artist, and somehow manages to get in tight with people who tell him what he wants to hear when he doesn’t really need to hear it.
Villain? Sucker? Enfent terrible? Maybe. But for now let’s just say that he’s on the wrong point of a love triangle -and that really hurts.
