There’s a facelift coming to my webpage in a few weeks (or less) I’d like to share with you.
Apparently (so I’m told) my ‘brand’ isn’t distinctive enough. Having examined my naked body in the mirror (not a pleasant experience I’ll admit) and having found no burned-in ownership marks or tattoos to speak of, I was informed that as an author my web/social media presence is bland, the same as many, many out there.
Of course, I protested. Isn’t my writing what sets me apart; don’t readers care about substance over looks; and as far as I’m concerned I’m not a packet of cornflakes so why do I need it? All to no avail. Being accused of living under a rock the past twenty years and not understanding the importance of it all, I have succumbed to the inevitable.
So.
Soon the colours, layout and ‘branding’ of this and all other social media for yours truly will change. I’ll persist with the English rather than USA spelling, and it will make no difference to the content but, I’m promised, it will make a difference.
We’ll see.
